The Sharing Secret by author La Shell Wooten introduces young readers to Asai; a boy who learns about making choices during a trip to his grandfather's bakery. Asai's private baking lesson gives him an opportunity to learn how sharing with others is actually like giving a gift to himself. The Sharing Secret is a delicious journey through the artistry of Nathaniel Mary Quinn's colorful imagery where learning about cakes and karma is painted into every page.
La Shell Wooten's inaugural children's book comes from her genuine motivation to help us all live well. Her endowment as a licensed mental health professional, life coach, teacher, healer, feng shui consultant, proud mother, and now author are among the gifts she offers to the world. As a mother of two boys, Wooten was inspired to write The Sharing Secret to teach young children about karma in an age-appropriate way and to show young boys of color as lead characters in children's books. Wooten hopes, The Sharing Secret and its' follow-up, Good Hands will delight young readers.
La Shell is a native New Yorker who loves a good cup of tea and a beautiful sunset at home and anywhere she travels.
